Leaving West

1996 Glitterhouse Records

Notes:

Hello Friend, Here's some more music for you, and I do hope you enjoy it!
I had a lot of fun making this record and once again there were a lot of people involved without whose help it would not have been possible.
The musicians who played here deserve the most credit and thanks.
I think Bruce worked the longest and hardest and was invaluable in helping me arrange the music and bringing to life my ideas. Thank you! Also: The Walkabouts. Chris and Carla for their feedback (and to Chris for the word help on Cheyenne). Ben Thompson for finding the time, Alain Le Cloirec and his Attic Studios (Concarneau) for the demo work that gave birth to these songs, Rainer (check out his CDs) for the advice to buy the dobro ("It's a good deal" he said), to my many loyal Seattle friends. Caroline Berthet for the timing of her visit, Chez Guitte and to my great friends in Concarneau, France, who so generously share their lives and love with me.

Three years ago I was working as a carpenter every day. Not a bad life, I think, but believe me when I say that I much prefer playing the music! To all of my European friends and fans who have given me this chance, I can only say thank you, words that do not come close to describing my gratitude!
